MAA Mosh Pit Audition, July 19, KL

This is it. Your chance to be close enough to count the number of sequins on Nicole Scherzinger’s outfit, or gaze into Jared Leto’s smouldering eyes.

But the legendary path to being a Mosh Pitter is fraught with difficulty.

Only the early get to boogie, because acceptance into the hallowed audition halls is on a first-come-first served basis. As they say, the early worm gets eaten by the bird…err…or something like that.

Potential pitters only have the hours of sunset (6pm to 8pm) to awe us with their awesomeness. But if 300 prove their worth within this time, the audition will conclude.

Participants will face off in groups of 30 – 50 on bloody battlegrounds known as the dance floor. Music and lighting effects will be in place. MTV VJ Utt and hitz.fm DJ Jin will be there guide the uninitiated.

Your quest ends when the music stops, where you will face the judges.

The chosen few will have their names recorded in the Official Book of Name Recording, after which they are allowed to go forth into the world as MTV’s honoured Mosh Pitters.

RULES & REGULATIONS

– The audition is open to all legal residents in Malaysia aged 15 and above.
– Good conduct must be maintained throughout the audition. Any objectionable and/or violent behavior will result in immediate disqualification.
– The judges’ decisions are final.
– The organizer reserves the rights to change criteria for judgment or refuse participation of any person.
– Please bring along a valid photo identification card for verification on audition day. Failure to produce a clear documentation of identification will result in immediate disqualification
– All registrations must take place at the mosh pit audition.
– Each participant may only audition once for the mosh pit.
– Participants below 18 years of age must seek approval from parent/guardian.
– Upon appointment, the participants are required to sign a Guest Release Form and your mosh pit participation will be subjected to its terms.
– Upon appointment, the participants will be briefed on travel arrangements to and fro the MTV Asia Awards 2008 in Genting Highlands.
